Payroll Tax Table Update for 2017
The Payroll Tax Table Update for 2017 should ideally be installed after you’ve run your final payroll for 2016 and before your first payroll of 2017. However, please note that Sage may release additional Payroll Tax Table Updates throughout the month of January, depending on whether there are any late postings of new tax tables by the individual states.
Who is eligible to receive Sage year-end updates?
Both the Accounts Payable 1099 update and the Payroll IRD update are available to Sage 100 clients who have a current Sage Business Care Plan and who are on one of the following Sage 100 versions, (with required Product Update, which is the last number in the versions listed below):
- 2016 Product Update 1 (5.30.1)
- 2015 Product Update 3 (5.20.3)
- 2014 Product Update 7 (5.10.7)
NOTE: The 2017 release contained the 2016 IRD
Installing the Year End Updates
You must have the required Product Update installed for your Sage 100 version prior to the IRD installation. In addition, installation of the 2015 IRD (and the IRDs from preceding years) is a prerequisite for installation of the 2016 IRD. If you have third-party modifications or software products that integrate with Sage 100, they may need to have updates installed and/or be reloaded after the IRD is installed. And, finally, a backup of your MAS90 folder should be created prior to installing the IRD.
What if you’re not eligible to receive updates from Sage?
For Payroll clients who are on older versions of Sage 100 (MAS 90) or who do not have a current Sage Business Care Plan, Bennett/Porter can manually update the payroll tax tables.
