In her blog post last week introducing this month's HR topic and webinar, Four Critical Handbook Policies for 2020, Christy talked about the employee handbook builder available to subscribers of People Savvy HCM Essentials. This is a great resource to help HR professionals and part-time HR administrators alike create, maintain, and keep compliant employee handbooks that are custom tailored to their organizations. Behind each employee handbook created in the builder is a team of professional HR Advisors, who work on your behalf to generate a handbook that aligns with your company's specific policies while remaining compliant from a regulatory perspective. Here's how easy it can be to generate a new employee handbook or update a current one.
After logging in to People Savvy HCM Essentials, two clicks get you to the Employee Handbook Wizard. From there, the push of one button launches the Professional Handbook Builder process. You provide the wizard with some information about your company and its policies. These details are sent to a certified HR Advisor, who reviews the information and crafts a new, custom handbook for you. In as little as three days, the HR Advisor will schedule a one-on-one consultation with you to review your new handbook, allowing you to ask questions and fully understand the thinking behind how your handbook was created. Then your new handbook will be sent to you in an editable format - in case you want to make additional adjustments on your own later - while the version sent to you will be stored online for you to access at any point in the future. That's it!
Well, that's it until your company grows, your policies change, and your handbook needs updating, right?. No problem!
The push of another button from within the Employee Handbook Wizard launches the Handbook Update Manager. This process begins by listing your previously created handbooks and providing a set of tools that help you maintain them by first identifying when you really need to update your handbooks and telling you in what ways they need some maintenance. Notably, it allows you to easily compare the policies in your handbook against the latest and greatest versions published by the professional HR Advisors so that you know precisely what needs modification. If you have specific policies that aren't included, you can submit those to the HR Advisors for review and feedback, so that you can be confident that the policy versions you add to your handbook are both sound and compliant.
It's the uncertainty and guess-work that make creating and updating employee handbooks such a daunting and unwelcome task. The People Savvy HCM Essentials Handbook Builder takes those unpleasant aspects out of the process, so that you can feel certain about the handbook that you provide to your employees. Check out everything that People Savvy HCM Essentials has to offer your HR endeavors.
