Sage 100 Payroll clients must update their software license keys prior to April 30th to ensure there will be no interruption in the functioning of the Payroll module. If your Sage 100 software displays a Payroll Subscription Expiration date of 4/30/2017, your Payroll module will be put in a read only mode by Sage after that date unless the license key is updated (meaning you will not be able to enter any new data in the module - you'll only be able to view historical data). Sage 100 program logic allows Sage Software to limit use of the Payroll module to only those clients with a current Payroll subscription who have also applied an update to the license key.
The Payroll Subscription Expiration date field can be found on the Modules tab of the System Configuration Screen (Library Master > Setup > System Configuration > Modules).
If the date displayed on this screen is 4/30/2017, then the installed license key will need to be updated. In order to update the license key, a Product Update must first be installed. The Product Update will provide you with an 'Update' button on the Registration tab of the System Configuration screen (as shown below) that is needed to update your license key and Payroll Expiration date.
Please contact Carina at our office to schedule assistance with installing the latest Product Update for your version. The average estimated time for this appointment is 15 minutes to an hour (depending on whether you create a backup of your MAS90 folder before the appointment or have us do it for you) during which all users will need to be out of Sage 100. Please note that Product Update assistance is billable at the rate of $150/hour.
