Sage 100c is a subscription-based version of Sage 100 that has all the same features but with the addition of an enhanced user interface. Although being marketed by Sage as a “technology product,” Sage 100c is not an internet based version of Sage 100. Instead, it allows actions such as the ability for users to change the size of their screens on a user-by-user basis. While Sage 100c will most likely be way new clients will purchase Sage 100, Sage 100c is a subscription-based product with an annual maintenance cost increase of approximately 15% to 35%. Since most of our clients have already invested in the purchase of Sage 100 (and are not “renting” the software month to month), we don’t see much advantage in moving to Sage 100c.
We'll have more information about this and many more upcoming changes to Sage 100 in the Sage 100 Road Ahead session at our Connections 2016 conference.
